Each year hundreds of volunteers serve
at PS I Love You to sort, hang, and organize clothing and essential items for children in foster care.
Resource Center Volunteers
We have recently renovated our donation center to better serve God’s children in our community. We need adult volunteers to help sort, clean, and organize the items that are donated from the community. Our volunteers help us in fulfilling our mission daily with being able to provide for foster children and foster families.
We accept new adult volunteers on an as needed basis, based on the time of year, projects for the resource center and Events (Christmas, season change over, etc.). Please fill out the form and someone will be in touch soon.
Please consider these requirements:
Must be 18 or older and physically able to lift 10-15 pounds
Must be able to work on your feet for long periods of time.
We do not provide service hours for court-appointed community service.
Volunteer sign ups on as needed basis and events.
New volunteers must attend a volunteer orientation before beginning.
Group Service Projects
Plan your next Service Project with PS I Love You! Our Clothing Closet & Resource Center occasionally has ways for groups to serve. We welcome groups ranging in size from 5-15 adults. Groups serve in a variety of ways depending on the needs of the closet at the time, including: landscaping, working in our storage building, assisting with inventory and switchover projects.
If your group includes children, ages 5-17, rather than a service project, we recommend hosting a collection or drive and then scheduling delivery of those items as a group. At that time we will gladly arrange a 15-20 min presentation about PS I Love You and provide a tour of our facilities, rather than onsite volunteer projects.
We are unable to offer onsite projects for groups of children due to the size of our facility and the privacy needs of our foster families, BUT we do have off-site opportunities for children to learn about PS I Love You and engage in the mission! We provide volunteer activities and send a tour of our facilities straight to you! With plenty of activities and conversations starters for hours of participation, you will experience so much more than what we could do on site. Thanks for understanding.
